1 Samuel 2:6: The LORD kills and brings to life

6. Only God is the Bridegroom:

Isaiah 62:5: For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

Mark 2:19-20: And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast. The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.”

7. Only God is the Holy One:

Isaiah 43:15: I am the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.

Acts 3:14-15: But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and you killed the Author of life, Whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.

8. Only God is the I AM HE:

Isaiah 43:10: “You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after Me.”

John 8:24: Jesus: “I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am He you will die in your sins.”

Luke 9:33: And as the men were parting from Him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here.”

13. Only God is the Worthy One:

Revelation 5:9: And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to open its seals, for You were slain, and by Your blood You ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation”

14. Only God built all things:

Hebrews 3:4: (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.)

Hebrews 3:3: For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses – as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.

15. Only God raised Jesus from the dead:

Romans 10:9: if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

John 2:19-21: Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking about the temple of His body.

16. Only God dwells in Christian believers:

2 Corinthians 6:16: What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make My dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Ephesians 3:17: so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith

Colossians 1:27: To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

17. Only God sanctifies Christian believers:

1 Thessalonians 5:23: Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely

Ephesians 5:25-26: Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, that He might sanctify her

18. Only God searches the heart of man:

Jeremiah 17:10: I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.

Revelation 2:23: Jesus: “And all the churches will know that I am He who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you as your works deserve.”

19. Only God reigns over Christian believers as slaves:

Romans 6:22: But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.

1 Corinthians 7:22: For he who was called in the Lord as a slave is a freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a slave of Christ.

20. Only God is the Light:

Psalm 27:1: The LORD is my light

John 8:12: Jesus: “I am the light of the world.”

21. Only God had a way prepared for Him:

Isaiah 40:3: A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD”

Mark 1:1-3: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I send My messenger before your face, who will prepare your way, the voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.'”

22. Only God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and does not change:

Malachi 3:6: For I the LORD do not change

Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

23. Only God is to be believed in for salvation:

24. Only God can give eternal life:

1 John 5:11: And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

John 10:27-28: Jesus: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand.”

25. Only God tread upon the raging waves:

Job 9:2, 8: Truly I know that it is so: But how can a man be in the right before God? . . . Who alone stretched out the heavens and trampled the waves of the sea

Matthew 14:24-25: but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. And in the fourth watch of the night He [Jesus] came to them, walking on the sea.

26. Only God is the Holy, Holy, Holy One Whose glory fills the whole earth:

Isaiah 6:1-3: In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above Him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”

John 12:37-41: Though He [Jesus] had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in Him, so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said, “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” Isaiah said these things because he saw His [Jesus'] glory and spoke of Him [Jesus].

27. Only God possesses everlasting dominion:

Psalm 145:13: Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. The LORD is faithful in all His words and kind in all His works.

Daniel 7:13-14: I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.

Mark 14:61-64: But He remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked Him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” And the high priest tore his garments and said, “What further witnesses do we need? You have heard His blasphemy.”

28. Only God has a judgment seat we must all appear before:

29. Only God will judge everyone:

30. Only God is King of kings:

1 Timothy 6:13-16: I charge you in the presence of God, Who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, Who in His testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which He will display at the proper time – He Who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Who alone has immortality, Who dwells in unapproachable light, Whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

Revelation 17:14: They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful.

31. Only God reconciled the world to Himself:

2 Corinthians 5:18-19: All this is from God, Who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
