"That's My King!" Who's The Son God Gave On That Cross So Brave Now Risen From The Grave This World To Save!

God is the One Who's in a class all alone; There is no one like Him Who reigns on the throne; He came down to earth to make Himself known; In the face of His Son all His glory is shown; He died on that cross for your sin to atone; And rose up from the dead to make you His own; So trust in Him now and no longer postpone; By faith you'll be made very bone of His bone!
God loves us because of all love He's the source; Our sin and rebellion all caused Him remorse; Though our sin and evil He'll never endorse; As a faithful Husband He'll never divorce; And His love in our lives will sure take its course; His "so great love" will our hopes reinforce; And cause us to love with Him as our Source!
God has a heart full of love and giving; He gave His Son to make the dead living; Believe in Him, and you'll find God forgiving; And He'll fill your heart with joy and thanksgiving!

That's my King!  I wonder if you know Him today?!

The best gift of all is the gift of His Son!  He forever satisfies before time's begun; The Son is the best – He's second to none; If you have Him, all your searching is done; For He, your heart, will eternally stun; Since your all in all is found in the Son!
"Believe in Him!" is the saving call; We make this plea to every and all; Faith in Him saved the wicked Saul; And turned him into the righteous Paul; Please trust in Him now lest Hell befall; And under God's wrath you bear the gall; So no longer doubt, take your time, or stall; Instead take this Christ as your all in all!
If you have Christ, you'll never perish or die; In Hell where poor sinners forever cry; From God's coming wrath you'll mount up and fly; You'll be safe in His arms – the gleam of His eye; Of joy He'll be your eternal supply!
Everlasting life is the promised reward; I promise you there, you'll never be bored; Delights beyond thought are there for you stored; When you finally enter in to the joy of your Lord; New heights of joy will forever be explored; As all glory and beauty to earth are restored; For there our great Christ will forever be adored!

That's my King!  That's my King!

"That's My King!" Who Bled And Died On That Tree And Meant The Worst Evil To Ever Be As The Greatest Good You Would Ever See!

As God's Word said He would and should; He paid God's price on blood stained wood; And showed the greatest evil could; Be turned into the greatest good; When free up from that grave He stood!
God so powerfully works all things; All history happens as He brings; From His decree each detail springs; Even the pains we cry:  "That stings!"  O'er all of life He's King of kings; So in the pain – your heart it sings; He gives a strength like eagles' wings!
By far the worst evil this world has ever seen; Is the murder of Jesus so dark and obscene; Add the greatest evils up – the mean of the mean; And they cannot compare with Christ's Calvary scene; For there man killed God – two robbers He's between; He took a robber's place so that we could be clean; To win us forgiveness our Christ did intervene; If you repent and believe – on this Christ you'll lean; He'll wash away all your sins and make you pristine!
Now forevermore it's the "Good Friday" day; When God glorified His Son in full array; He made the worst evil salvation's way; And put mercy and justice on full display; So next time great evil takes your breath away; Remember that cross – all your hope and stay; God works all things for good – now even today; If you're His child, this is His final say; So cling to Him still – simply trust and obey; For this Christ is our all Whom we sinners did slay!

That's my King!  That's my King!

"That's My King!" Who Took All Our Blame So That For His Name We Would Have No Shame But Spread His Fame And Never Be The Same!

If of the Christ we are ashamed; On His great day we won't be claimed; May this as our sin not be named; But rather let Him be proclaimed; On our behalf His life was maimed; And all God's wrath forever tamed; For all your sin the Son was blamed; And rose up life to be reclaimed; For God's glory is what He aimed; And for this goal your heart inflamed; Because He loved those Satan claimed; And died for those who were ashamed!
His Words are life and they're all true; Though earth and sky may all fall through; His Words will stand – this world make new; So may we always preach this Jew; And tell the world: "This Christ look to!"; "Please trust in Him – He will save you!" And all that's sin and sad undo; With grace and mercy He'll pursue; And all your enemies subdue; Looking to Him, you'll be made new!

That's my King!  Do you know Him?!

Jesus' demands are often hard; "Impossible!" some do regard; But what with man is locked and barred; Christ opens up – the chains discard; For on that cross His body scarred; His back and head broken and marred; Hell's gates He crushed and did bombard; Now death is dead – all life He'll guard; So if you fail and Christ discard; Repent and trust His mercy card; Play it with hope and don't be jarred; For all His children He'll regard!
One day He'll come at the consummation; To be adored by every nation; The Father's glory on demonstration; The holy angels in formation; May we live a life on Christ's foundation; With an eye to His day of acclamation; Speak up for Him – man's only salvation; And teach His ethics – a high expectation; But most of all preach His cross devastation; For there in great shame He endured condemnation; And rose up from the grave – His coronation; To remove your shame if you'll trust His mediation; He'll acknowledge you forever in great celebration!

"That's My King!" Who's The King Of Self Denial And Endured The Hardest Trial To Win God's Everlasting Smile!

Jesus calls for self denial
More self-esteem is not His style
In your own heart you'll find what's vile
He'll rip it out and make a pile
Against this heap you'll be hostile
You'll come away from self awhile
And “Christ is all!” will be your smile
Since you, to God, He'd reconcile
When on that cross He faced God's trial
And rose all glories to compile
For in His soul was found no guile!

That's my King!

To take up your cross means death to self by execution
That cross was Rome's death tool – a cruel institution
Much worse than our chair of death by sudden electrocution
Or the dreaded guillotine of the French Revolution
Death to sin and self must be our holy resolution
Christ died the greatest death to end sin's dark pollution
On His cross He took God's wrath – our penal substitution
To all sin, death, and pain – He's this world's only solution!

That's my King! Do you know Him?!

Jesus' call is to follow Me
Oh may God grant you eyes to see
The greatness of this One in Three
Who took our sin upon that tree
And then rose up to set us free
He truly is the Me of me's
And all God's wrath He did appease
And now salvation guarantees
To joy and life He holds the keys
So bow to Him on bended knees!

That's my King!

If you lose your life for Jesus' sake
You'll save your life – make no mistake
He's worthy all else to forsake
He'll give you joy no trial can break
Consider your choice and what's at stake
Heaven and Hell – the fiery lake
Believe in Him – His mercy take
And from the dead you'll rise awake!

That's my King!

If you gain all riches and this world whole
There is no profit if you lose your soul
Owning all this world is an empty goal
Since hell's your payment – death's your toll
So come to Christ, He'll make you whole
For He alone can satisfy your soul!

That's my King! I wonder if you know Him today?

Christ Jesus Is Our Greatest Gain
To Come To Him He Has Made Plain
We Must Deny Ourselves So Vain
And Die Like Him, Like Little Grain
Once Planted Dies But Springs With Rain
One Soul’s Worth More Than Worldly Fame
And All You Ever Could Attain
Christ Will Repay And Come And Claim
His Children Who Make Him Their Aim
For He Lay Dead, Was Cursed And Slain
He Bore God’s Wrath And Took Our Shame
Then Rose Alive To Rule And Reign
And Set Our Hearts For Him Aflame
Our Lives, Our Souls He Does Sustain
For Him We’ll Suffer Any Pain
He Gave Us Life, Broke Every Chain
Now When We Die There’s Only Gain!

That's my King!  That's my King!

"That's My King!" Who Crushed The Serpent With Passion Fervent As The Suffering Servant!

Jesus taught His suffering was a must
Gruesome horror your stomach would disgust
On that cross He was humbled to the dust
For on that bloody tree He was made our lust
That though ungodly we could be made just
If in Him alone by faith we'd trust
And all our hopes and dreams on Him are thrust
He rose up from the dead to live robust
To save our lives from ending in the dust
Where all our treasures die and end in rust
But we will live for glory He discussed
All because our Holy King was killed and crushed!

That's my King! Do you know Him?!

The greatest Lover of all had to be rejected
By His own bride He was disrespected
Through pain and suffering He'd be perfected
As Messiah this was unexpected
Upon Himself all sin was collected
Where on that cross He was erected
To suffer and die alone dejected
But rose up from death all unaffected
The King of kings was resurrected
To save all those whom God elected
God's glory He perfectly reflected
Now we're the church – in love connected
So we can live as He directed
And we'll never be neglected
For by His love we're safe protected!

That's my King!

Peter thought he should correct God's mistake
Rebuking Christ – on suffering he'd put the brake
The Messiah's mission he'd remake
Rebuking God is an insane mistake
He acted like the evil tempting snake
The suffering mission Christ would not forsake
So people could escape the fiery lake
If forsaking all, this Christ they'd take
He alone can heal your heart they'd break
For He alone can fill your life's deep ache
Since with His love He'll make you quake, shake, and all other loves forsake
Because His sight compels a double take
When to His beauty your eyes awake!

That's my King! I wonder if you know Him today?!

Jesus loved Peter with a stern correction
With this word He crushed Satan's insurrection
Some love's received with only thick skin protection
Peter's mind was set on man's direction
God's plan is always the best selection
The way up's the way down in God's perfection
To die is to live – Christ's life reflection
On that cross He took the greatest rejection
So you would be loved with greatest affection
He loved before time when He chose your election
From the greatest Lover, there's no more rejection
For He proved His love by death and resurrection!

That's my King!

Christ Jesus Showed Them Many A Thing
Of How He’d Suffer, Die, And Sting
From All The Hatred Men Would Bring
But On The Third Day We Will Sing
For He Shall Win Our Risen King
Forever Take Away Death’s Sting
Don’t Focus On Man’s Selfish Fling
And Be Like Satan’s Vile Offspring
But Turn To God To Christ You’ll Cling
Set Minds On God’s Great Everything
From Him All Joy And Life Does Spring
Who Died And Rose To Make You Sing!

That's my King! That's my King!
