God made us all with a desire to be great; This desire was good as God did create; Then all went wrong – the banned fruit Adam ate; They listened to Satan and took His bait; Now we all sin, and it's God we hate; We are the center – our self we inflate; But we have a Savior Who's greater than great; He humbled Himself – to the child He'd relate; He went to the cross and bore our sins weight; On that tree He was made our wicked God hate; And bore in His body an infinite freight; Then rose up free to an endless estate; He died for His bride – His precious soul mate; Now for His return we eagerly wait; His beauty and love we can't overstate!
If you want to follow Jesus, you can't be proud; Humble yourself – on your knees be bowed; May your heart be good soil, ready and plowed; For no hard hearts will be allowed; So come to this Christ and cry aloud; He can save the proudest in any crowd; Even the mean, God-haters avowed; Since our Christ with mercy is well endowed!
That's my King! Do you know Him?!
To follow our King, we must love the least; Even all children from west to east; Some can't speak up before they're deceased; The doctor's knife on their necks unleashed; Others starve and enjoy no feast; And still others die from disease increased; But we have a King Who loves the least; He lived and died as our great High Priest; And rose triumphant – He'll crush the beast! He removes our sins as far as west to east; From all sin and pain we'll be released; And enjoy in Him an everlasting feast that will never cease – our joy will only increase as we rest in peace!
What should our main motivation be? For loving the least and children we see? Jesus boldly said: "It has to be Me!" Who set that child upon His knee; In Him, you get the great One In Three; For He's our delight Who set us free; There's no one like Him – all must agree; Who died for sinners on that tree; And rose alive to make death flee; We do all we do so more of Him we see; He's the greatest joy that will ever be; So delight yourself in Him, that is His plea!
