The burden He bore was an unbearable weight; The sin of the world became His estate; God's wrath on that cross would His life desecrate; Any mere man under this load would break; Yet He's no mere man but God incarnate; So He could lift up the unbearable freight; He had to be man so He could relate; He took on Himself all vile sin and hate; All vain idols with Him you do equate; Your lusts; Your musts; Your angel dust; Your lack of trust state; Your longing for love and to marry a Kate; All idolatry He took and your death He ate; All for His glorious Father's name sake; And because He loves you in your sin so great; He lived, died, and rose to recreate; So turn from your sin and upon Him alone wait; As far as east is from west He removes your weight; To the depths of the sea your sin He'll translate; All condemnation against you He will negate; His anger against you will forever abate; All future sins and those up to date – He'll forget them all and clean your slate; And cause you to sing and forever elate!
That's my King! Do you know Him?!
