"That's My King!" Who Dearly Loves His Cheating Bride And Will Not Cast Her Down Aside But For Her Purity He Died!

You commit adultery if your spouse you divorce; All these actions only cause remorse; Separating and adultery God doesn't endorse; So turn from divorce and take Christ's course; His blood bought bride He'll never divorce; Love that lasts is His proven course; To love this way, Christ is the source; So trust in Him – one flesh reinforce!
Divorce was never in God's plan; Since life and love and time began; But then sin grew so bad in man; That for two reasons, divorce you can; Adultery is death to man; Abandonment – your spouse he ran; These break the covenantal plan; So look to Christ and His Word scan; For "Christ is all!" - He's better than; Your life and all the years its span; He died and rose to be the Man; So be a follower, not a fan!

That's my King!  Do you know Him?!

Divorce and remarriage are painfully hard; So let us church be on our guard; If you need help from a past marred; From brokenness that's left you scarred; Christ's church is here with kind regard; So come for help if you've been jarred; To save your soul the Christ was scarred; And from His Father He was barred; Rose up alive to death discard; He can heal your pains so hard; And on your life His grace bombard!
To stay married is worth the fight; Keeping covenant brings delight; So no matter what's your plight; And however dark your night; By faith in Christ receive the light; Come with humble heart contrite; Receive His endless store of might; In Him all things will be all right; In you a fire of love ignite; Christ is the marriage saving Knight; Who loved His bride though she took flight; And sinned against Him left and right; For her He died and loved despite; Her ugly, sinful, painful slight; And now He makes her pure and bright; And fills her with His pure delight!

"That's My King!" Of Every Case, Loves Every Race, And Will Give Grace To All Who Trust And Him Embrace!

If you weren't there, be slow to speak; You may be wrong in your critique; In everything we should be meek; It's for the truth that we should seek; Turn off the news – it is a freak; Hatred and division peak; Praise God for Christ the Son unique!  Who came and turned the other cheek; And gave His life on holy week; And rose in glorious mystique; Now stands to save the low and weak; In all your pain and future bleak; Christ gives the hope all races seek!
Pray for peace is His command; So bow your knee and with Him stand; May God unite our evil land; And stop the blood shed by our hand; Oh praise the King Who has all planned!  And seek His power to withstand; The evil in our hearts He's banned; Let's trust His sovereign, mighty hand!

Pray for both families involved; May their hopes not be dissolved; May hope in Christ be their resolve; In Christ all justice will be solved; By faith in Him all are absolved!
The verdict caused great indignation; Both sides argue – polarization; One side claims discrimination; The other says no – this is allegation; King Jesus knows all without limitation; As Judge of all He'll grant damnation; To all who sin without reformation; So whatever your side in argumentation; Humble yourself to find salvation; For Christ the King in degradation; Was beaten and killed in condemnation; Then rose up alive in glorification; To judge the world with perfect vindication; For this He earns all adoration!
The Judge of all the world does right; For every color – black and white; Come to Him, lay down your fight; He will bring you to the light; And be your ocean of delight; Trust in Him right now, tonight! His love for you is out of sight! He'll be your joy – true and bright! No more sin – tears, pain, or night! No more questions to indict!  Just pure freedom at its height!  So come to Him humble, contrite!

"That's My King!" Who Never Leaves But To His Bride Forever Cleaves And All Who Trust Him He Receives!

We long for love that will not end

Therefore our God His Son would send

To win a bride He did descend

Yet she against Him did offend

But He still loved – her hate suspend

Before her He would condescend

And on that cross His life would end

Then from the grave He did ascend

If you'll trust – on Him depend

He'll save you now and be your friend

He'll give you love that will not end

But forevermore extend

Forever at His side you'll spend

He gives you joy that will transcend

His love you cannot comprehend!

O love that will not let me go

Deep from His heart great mercies flow

For through His love in grace we grow

When all on Him our hopes we throw

He makes our sin as white as snow

On us great favor He'll bestow

If we're humble, meek, and low

He saves us from the hell below

All because our God we know

He'll make our face shine with a glow!

It's God Who joins – oh this is sweet!

He loves you so and won't mistreat

If a spouse you hope to meet

The wait for you is long with heat

You can be sure God makes replete

Your deepest needs He'll more than meet

So bow to Him, trust at His feet

He satisfies more than the sheet

And then someday on that gold street

You'll know in Him you are complete!

Christ is God Who wrote the law

So Moses bows to Him in awe

Hardness of heart – we fight and claw

This kills marriage – lovers withdraw

You walk away – it's the last straw

But in all this there's a great flaw

There's no submission – Christ is all!

What Jesus said will drop your jaw

No separation is His law

So bow to Him and you won't fall

From your spouse you won't withdraw!

What God has joined let no man break

The two are one our God did make

With joy our Christ in love did take

A bride to keep and not forsake

And since all marriage in His wake

Points to this truth, make no mistake

We stay together for His sake

Don't listen to the wicked snake

Embrace the marriage hard with ache

And fight to stay – may love awake

To selfish sin, die and forsake

Serve the other – don't give and take

And do this all for His name's sake

For His glory's what's at stake

But you He never will forsake!

If you've failed in this high call

There is a Savior – Christ is all!

He died to save you from your fall

And heal you from the bitter gall

So in His name for mercy call

He'll take your sins – both big and small

And cast them down – never recall

He'll give new life – make you stand tall!

But Faithful Marriage He’ll Endorse 

One Man, One Woman In Covenant Force

Become One Flesh In Intercourse 

What Marriage Is He Is The Source

For He’s The Groom Who’d Reinforce

His Love For Us Without Remorse

By Death He Faced The Great Divorce

Then Rose So Life Would Take Its Course

He’ll Never Leave His Bride, No Force

Could Ever Separate Enforce 

For His Love Like Great War Horse

Will Overwhelm With Power Source

For He’s Our All, And Never Coarse

So Trust Your Groom, His Word Endorse

For He Alone Can Stop Divorce!

"That's My King!" Who's The Saltiest Salt, Died Without Fault, Rose Up Out The Vault To Make Death Halt So Him We Forever Exalt!

Jesus is the greatest sacrifice; He paid the ultimate price; For all our wicked vice; He's salt that gives the world lasting spice; He quenched the fires – that would suffice; To end God's wrath – justice precise; He rose alive – He won't die twice; And with His love all men entice; To follow Him in sacrifice!
Sacrifice is all about value and worth; And once you believe and have new birth; There's nothing else in heaven or on earth; That can compare with Jesus' worth!
Fire can purify and make us whole; God does more than save your soul; He'll help you grow in self-control; To make you Christ-like is the goal; So in your pain let this console; His love for you is from of ole; O'er all your enemies He'll roll; His eyes run to and fro – patrol; To help all those who Him extol!

That's my King!  Do you know Him?!

Salt preserves and makes us last; Because the Christ saved from our past; We'll endure all hardships vast; For His love none can surpass; He will keep us – hold us fast; Make us rest down in green grass; Though facing death we're all aghast; Our Good Shepherd will outlast; All pains and hurts that we've amassed; With mercy He pursues us fast; So trust in Him Whose love is vast!
When "Christ is all!" there will be peace; For He will make your conflicts cease; Your joy in Him He will increase; And all your grudges you'll release; You'll die to self – your pride decease; He'll fix your failures piece by piece; And crush your anger – strife decrease; There'll be no need for hate police; All because He did decease; Upon that cross there was no peace; He made God's wrath against you cease; And rose from death you to release; So now the earth shall know His peace; It shall forevermore increase!

Christ Is All With A Big Boot!

The "Gospel Centered Everything" movement needs to hear this from the Gospel Incarnate Himself as He speaks these grace filled words to His own inner circle of disciples (not to the Pharisees):

"If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where 'their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.'" Mark 9:43-48

And we all need to hear this, over and over again:

All the sinful hands, feet, and eyes that would ever be forgiven were counted as Jesus' sinful hands, feet, and eyes! And He was utterly cut off as no one in the history of the universe had ever been cut off, yet He was without sin and did not deserve to be cut off!

He was thrown into the fires of God's anger and judgment where the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched in our place when He died on that cross!

But the worm did die! And the fires were quenched! Because the infinite God-Man did quench the infinite anger of the infinite Father! And then He rose up from the dead in victory!

And now those dreaded fires of God's anger are quenched for us forever if we will only repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!

"That's My King!" Who Quenched The Fire And Cooled God's Ire On That Cross Dire – Now He's Our All – Our Great Desire!

To speak of God's wrath, we must have tears

For in God's hell are greatest fears

It burns for everlasting years

The heartache there will have no peers

So please awake – open your ears

The Christ Who saves through Word appears

Trust in the Son with all your spheres

He'll save you from these dreadful tears

He died and rose – your guilt He clears

He'll take away hell's fiery fears

Replace them all with happy cheers!

God's heart is not for eternal damnation

He longs for all to have salvation

For He loves all His creation

From every language, tribe, and nation

From every walk of life and station

So He sent the Incarnation

God and man in one summation

He died and rose – death's termination

Believe in Him as your foundation

And you'll enjoy no condemnation

And give to Christ all adoration!

That's my King! Do you know Him?!

To stop your sin, cut off your hand

This is your great King's demand

So draw a line down in the sand

Choose your King and sin withstand

Oh come, our God, Who has all planned

And grant the grace that You command!

That's my King!

Heaven's better, though you're not complete

Avoid hell without two feet

For there it's never-ending heat

The worms don't die but always eat

With many stripes you will be beat

But heaven's joys are complete

Nothing else can quite compete

Plus they grow to more elite

There all things grow more ever sweet

Children play – dance in the street

And how can we receive this treat?

Escape the everlasting heat?  

On that cross, Christ took our heat

And for our sins His body beat

Then rose your sins all to delete

He crushed the devil in defeat

Now sits up high upon His seat

At God's right hand – His job's complete

For He has done the greatest feat!

That's my King! I wonder if you know Him today?!

Christ Jesus Conquered Every Temptation

He Sovereignly Rules Over All Of Creation

He Hates All Sin – It’s A Vile Degradation

He Calls Us To Fight With Extreme Indignation

So We Won’t Go To Hell Under Fiery Damnation

For Jesus Has Died – Took Our Wrath Separation 

Then Rose Up Alive For Our Justification

By Faith Alone And His Imputation 

We Are Righteous In Him – Our Praise Fascination

Now By His Power We Fight Sin Devastation 

And Love All His People – Our Joyful Obligation

For The God-Man Has Come So There’s No Condemnation

So We Praise And Obey From His Spirit Inspiration!

"That's My King!" Who Set Us Free From Sinful "Me" Upon That Tree And Made Death Flee!

Once to sin we all were slaves; For sin alone our hearts did crave; We would always misbehave; The heart of man – totally depraved; Sin leads to a deadly grave; But our great Jesus came to save; When bold He died – our Savior brave; Our God so loved – His Son He gave; The way to holiness He'd pave; When He died – rose from the grave; To make His people all His slave; Believe in Him – your soul He'll save; And in His image make you brave!
Apart from Christ you can't do good; You cannot love – live as you should; You'd rather stay out in the hood; Praise be to God for Christ Who could; In righteousness He lived and stood; Then died upon that bloody wood; This love no one's full understood; And now in Him you can do good!

That's my King!  Do you know Him?!

Trust in Christ – you'll be set free; He's put to death your evil "me!;" He's your righteousness to see; And from all sin you'll long to flee; Against your sin you'll both agree; God showed His anger on that tree; When Jesus died to set you free; To live alone by His decree; And glorify the One in Three;  Fix your eyes on Him and see; For holiness this is the key!
Jesus is your sanctification; That must begin at justification; Since you're now a new creation; With a righteousness foundation; Forever fixed in heavenly location; Your new life's destination is a new direction not perfection; Because you have a new affection for the God of resurrection; In Him you'll never face rejection because of His gracious election; He'll rid your life of imperfection as you trust in His protection and obey all His correction; He'll make you more like Christ's reflection to the praise of His beauty perfection!

"That's My King!" Who Was Given No Cup Of Water But Went To The Slaughter With God's Wrath Hotter So We Can Drink The Living Water!

Oh to do good for the sake of His name; Giving Him glory is our aim; This is why from heaven He came; Over our lives all rights He'll claim; Because He died and took our blame; And rose to the praise of His glorious fame!
If you love in Jesus' name, you won't lose your reward; Pleasures in Christ there will be stored; Of treasures in heaven you'll have a horde; A great "Well done!" He will award; Be assured you'll never be bored; For Christ is our exalted Lord; Seated on high to be adored!
For all in Christ by faith who belong; If you grant them a cup you'll never go wrong; If in His name you offer it strong; You'll join the everlasting throng; And sing forever the glorious song; Give praise to the King Who's reign is long; Forever He's King to all who belong!

May we never cause a little believing one to sin; It'd be better if we'd never been; Put a millstone on and cast us in; So from this evil, save your skin; And trust the Son Who'll always win; He's the greatest Who's ever been; He'll help us love through thick and thin; For He saved us from our sin; And on your face He'll put a grin; More joy's in Him than drinking gin!
On that cross Christ cried "I thirst!" No cup was given – He was cursed; God's wrath on Him was strong dispersed; So bad His heart did break and burst; Into judgment He's immersed; He faced the greatest worst of worst; So all evil'd be reversed; When He rose up to be the first; To conquer death and save the cursed; In Christ we love all those who thirst!

So You Want To Be A "Rock Star" Preacher?

1.  The LORD makes people great in the eyes of the world as He chooses:

Genesis 12:1-2: Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.  And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.”

Genesis 39:2-3, 21, 23: The LORD was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master.  His master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD caused all that he did to succeed in his hands . . . But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison . . . The keeper of the prison paid no attention to anything that was in Joseph’s charge, because the LORD was with him. And whatever he did, the LORD made it succeed.

Exodus 7:1: And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh . . . .”

Joshua 3:7: The LORD said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. ”

Joshua 4:14: On that day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel, and they stood in awe of him just as they had stood in awe of Moses, all the days of his life.

1 Samuel 2:6-8: The LORD kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up.  The LORD makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts.  He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor.  For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and on them he has set the world.

2 Samuel 7:8-9: Now, therefore, thus you shall say to my servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people Israel.  And I have been with you wherever you went and have cut off all your enemies from before you. And I will make for you a great name, like the name of the great ones of the earth.”

Daniel 1:9: And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs

Psalm 75:6-7: For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.

Philippians 2:5-11: Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.  And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.  Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

2.  The LORD doesn’t need you:

Psalm 135:6: Whatever the LORD pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.

Isaiah 59:1: Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear

Acts 17:24-25: The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

Matthew 3:9: God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.

3.  The LORD grants all mercies, ministries, and positions in His Church as He sees fit:

Romans 9:15: I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.

1 Corinthians 4:7: For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?

Romans 12:3: For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

2 Corinthians 4:1: Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.

1 Corinthians 12:12, 18, 24, 28: For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ . . . But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose . . . But God has so composed the body . . . And God has appointed in the church . . . .

4.  The LORD delights in and lifts up the humble:

Psalm 147:6: The LORD lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.

Isaiah 57:15: For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:  “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

1 Peter 5:5: God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

Matthew 18:4: Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 23:11-12: The greatest among you shall be your servant.  Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Mark 9:35: If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.

5.  Therefore . . .

a.  Consider all other preachers (and people!) better than yourself:

Philippians 2:3: Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

b.  Seek the LORD to build your ministry or it is vanity:

Psalm 127:1: Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

c.  And forget about yourself and exult in the glory, beauty, and satisfaction of Christ alone!

Philippians 3:7-11: But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.  Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.  For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith – that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

CHRIST IS ALL!

"That's My King!" Who Has A Powerful Name That All Must Proclaim Since He Took Our Blame And Death He'd Tame!

A man was crushing the demons' aim; His disciples said: "Stop!  You're not the same!  To be one of us you cannot claim;" Then to the Christ His disciples came; The Christ Who loves and heals the lame; Jesus – the most powerful Name; Don't hide this truth in prideful game; This selfish lust is wicked shame; He deserves all the world's acclaim; Let heaven and earth and all proclaim; He took our sin and dreadful blame; Then rose for all time – pride to tame; And end our selfish, focused shame; So we'll be new – never the same!
"Do not stop him!" Jesus said; "If in My name the truth he'll spread; He won't say "Bad!" once demons fled; He's not against the Living Bread; So then he's for the Living Head;" Who on that cross His blood He'd shed; And in the tomb be three days dead; Then rise alive to end our dread; For though our sins were dark and red; He died to make us clean widespread; All captives to freedom He's led; And with His body we are fed; On all our enemies He'll tread; Until with Him we're finally wed!

That's my King!  Do you know Him?!

Again the lesson is on humility; For only in this is true tranquility; We need to be saved from pride disability; And that's why Christ came in vulnerability; He lived with no trace of fallibility; And died a death with no respectability; He took our sins without culpability; Then rose from the dead with eternal durability; He overcomes our inability; And to heaven opened free accessibility; So trust Him now without gullibility; He'll grant your life unshakable stability!
