"That's My King" Whose Sacrifice More Than Sufficed With Love And Beauty He Enticed And Above All He Is The Christ!

The question of all questions to every generation
“Who do you say that I am?” is Jesus’ exact quotation
How you answer sets your eternal destination
Deny He’s Messiah and suffer condemnation
Or confess Him as Christ for a glorious salvation
If you get it right, it’s His Father’s holy revelation
So bow down to Him and worship in admiration!

That's my King!

John the Baptist was a bold, great man
Of those born of woman none's greater than
But there's still one Whose glory span
Can't be contained since time began
Christ will finish God's perfect plan
For He's the only One Who can
May in our hearts a flame He fan
For truly He's the greatest Man!

That's my King! Do you know Him?!

Elijah even raised the dead
And helped the widow bake her bread
But he himself was never dead
We need another in our stead
Who for our sins His blood was shed
And o'er our foes His feet would tread
A crown of thorns set on His head
For our salvation He has bled
And rose alive just as He said
To all the world salvation spread
He is the Christ our Living Bread!

That's my King!

He's the great anointed Prophet Who spoke God's Word
He's the greatest voice you've ever heard
His speech was clear and always stirred
He told the truth and never slurred
This awesome Gospel He conferred
Our sins to Him were all transferred
God's wrath upon Himself incurred
Up from the grave He rose the third
Now lives forever undeterred
For He alone's the living Word!

That's my King! I wonder if you know Him today?!

He's the great anointed high Priest
Who offered Himself and not a beast
He offered the offering and became the least
He was the offering so evil ceased
Now His death is our glory feast
And He's no longer dead deceased
But lives – His beauty still increased
And removes our sins far as west to east!

That's my King!

He's the great anointed, reigning King
Of all power He's the spring
He's never done one evil thing
But to you salvation He can bring
No matter what your sin or fling
If to Him alone by faith you'll cling
He'll raise you up – give your heart wing
And make your tongue forever sing!

That's my King!

Christ Jesus Is The God Who Came
His Church To Build, His Holy Aim
He Is The Christ Peter’d Exclaim
This Rock The World Shall Never Tame
He’s Son Of God We Must Proclaim
He’d Die, Bear All God’s Wrath In Shame
To Take Our Sin And Curse And Blame
Then Rise Again His Bride To Claim
The Gates Of Hell He’d Crush And Maim
By Faith Alone, Not Sweetest Frame
We’re Justified, Never The Same
All For Christ’s Everlasting Fame
To The Praise Of His Holy And Beautiful Name!

That's my King! That's my King!

"That's My King!" Who Opens Blind Eyes And On That Cross Dies To Triumphantly Rise As Our Infinite Prize!

Jesus opens the eyes of the blind; In sin to darkness we're all confined; This is not the world that God designed; Because of sin we've all declined; Death is our curse by God assigned; But in His love and grace so kind; Our Christ God's Son in darkness shined; He died and rose to save the blind, and all our sin to cast behind; God's back, He won't again remind; In Christ all greatness is combined; In Him our treasure we must find, and more by Him we'll be refined; As to His love we're more inclined!
No matter how sick by His touch you'll be healed; From sin, death, and hell He's Invincible Shield; On that cross His perfect life He'd yield; Rising up from the grave your salvation He sealed; His glory and power no longer concealed; For your good all His might and love He'll wield; For God in the flesh has been revealed!
Spit in the face – that's full of shame; Christ turns for good – that is His aim; So at the cross – that evil maim; For our own sin He bore the blame, and took what's shame and made it tame – the greatest good the cross became!

That's my King!  Do you know Him?!

It's the LORD alone Who opens blind eyes; Therefore this truth our passage cries; Jesus is LORD our text implies; He's God on earth without disguise;  He's our infinite prize; He alone is wise; He never lies; And in love and grace size He's got everlasting supplies that will surprise; So don't compromise, but trust in Him and rise to enjoy unimaginable highs!
Plain truth His disciples were slow to discern; So He healed in stages so they could learn; Slowly and gradually their hearts would burn; Their eyes would be open – to Christ they'd turn; That He'd be made known their hearts would yearn!
It's a terrible shame to get spit in your face; But Christ takes the shame and makes it all grace; Sinners made Him blind as they tried His case; And they spit on Him with utter disgrace; Yet He takes every sin and shame so base, and casts it all to a forgotten place; All sin and shame He will erase, and leave you clean without a trace so that God, in Christ, you can embrace; And forever enjoy His amazing grace!

That's my King!  That's my King!

"That's My King!" Who Lived, Died, And Rose To Make Us Just Though We're Full Of Lust If Him Alone We'll Trust!

We want to boast in who we are or what we've done; Our looks, our works, our games, our fun; And all manner of other things under the sun; We gloat and praise our great home run; Yet no boast should be under the sun; But boast in Christ Who's second to none;  His wonderful work can't be undone, rerun, or out done; His beauty and mercy were meant to stun; May all glory and honor be to the Son!
If we work, we'll get just what we earn; We'll be in hell to forever burn because we sin – from God we turn; If that's a wage that to you sounds stern; God's infinite glory you've failed to discern; Yet He loves you so though His glory you'd spurn; May He open your eyes – may you come to learn; He'll to the depths your sin adjourn, if to Him by faith you will return; He'll raise your dreams up from the urn, and be the joy for which you yearn!

That's my King!  I wonder if you know Him today?!

By faith alone you'll be made just; Though you're ungodly – full of lust; But once your hope on Him is thrust; You'll hate your sin in great disgust; Your whole life He'll readjust and raise you up high from the dust; Your holiness then is a must; Because in Him alone you trust!
Two great blessings of justification are forgiveness of sins – no condemnation; And righteousness yours by declaration; For this Christ died gaining your salvation; His perfect life is yours by imputation; He was raised from the dead for your justification; The main thing about faith for your consideration is the grand location of its total fixation;  For the object of your faith is Who saves from damnation; By Christ's works alone you're a new creation; He's the great object of our trust and adoration; May Christ alone be all as your greatest admiration!

That's my King!  That's my King!

"That's My King!" Who Himself Bore Our Sins On That Tree, Cast Them Into The Depths Of The Sea, And Once For All Rose Up To Set Us Free!

The burden He bore was an unbearable weight; The sin of the world became His estate; God's wrath on that cross would His life desecrate; Any mere man under this load would break; Yet He's no mere man but God incarnate; So He could lift up the unbearable freight; He had to be man so He could relate; He took on Himself all vile sin and hate; All vain idols with Him you do equate;  Your lusts; Your musts; Your angel dust; Your lack of trust state; Your longing for love and to marry a Kate; All idolatry He took and your death He ate; All for His glorious Father's name sake; And because He loves you in your sin so great; He lived, died, and rose to recreate; So turn from your sin and upon Him alone wait; As far as east is from west He removes your weight; To the depths of the sea your sin He'll translate; All condemnation against you He will negate; His anger against you will forever abate; All future sins and those up to date – He'll forget them all and clean your slate; And cause you to sing and forever elate!

That's my King!  Do you know Him?!
